My lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive, and tailored to the individual needs of each student. Before we begin, I take the time to understand a student’s strengths, areas for development, and academic goals so that every lesson is focused and effective.
A typical lesson combines clear explanations, guided practice, retrieval activities, and exam-style questions to help students build both knowledge and confidence. I break down complex scientific concepts into simple, manageable steps and regularly check understanding throughout the session. For students preparing for examinations, I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping them understand how to apply their knowledge and maximise marks.
I am a qualified Science teacher with a degree in Biomedical Science and over 6 years of experience teaching KS3, GCSE, and A-Level students. I currently teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at GCSE level and Biology at A-Level, giving me an excellent understanding of curriculum content and examination requirements. I have experience teaching students across the full ability range, from those who need additional support to those aiming for the highest grades.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and adaptable. I believe every student can succeed when they are given the right support and strategies. Whether you are looking to improve your understanding of a particular topic, prepare for upcoming exams, boost your confidence, or achieve top grades, my lessons provide a structured and positive learning environment where you can make meaningful progress and reach your full potential. Thank you for considering me to tutor you.
