My lessons will be focused on equipping a student with the tools they need to succeed in English!

Each lesson will be personalised, using a mix of discussion and exam related examples to support a diverse range of material and strengthen each student's technique. Most importantly, I aim to provide an inclusive, relaxed atmosphere which helps students to feel motivated and empowered to ask questions.

Being a student myself, I am acutely aware of how important a good teacher is. My goal is to listen to each individual and provide a lesson that gives them the confidence to succeed in exams, as well as encourage independent thinking.

Lessons will follow a loose structure, depending on the content that each student wants to work on!

Each session will start with a discussion to set out clear objectives, as well as recap over any progress. From here, I will introduce new concepts through discussion and simulations. English Language and Literature are subjects where you learn best by 'doing', so each lesson will focus more on active discussion and application of knowledge rather than lectures!
A variety of exam examples and literature extracts will follow new concepts to build up confidence- here we can focus on any areas of difficulty, as well as discuss how the concept can be integrated and applied to various academic scenarios.

Once the theory of a concept is mastered in English, learning how to apply it to a variety of exam and assignment scenarios is key!

The lessons will generally finish with a Recap of what we've covered, some constructive feedback and goal settings for the following session.

Each lesson will be relaxed and encourage inquisitive thinking!
