Dr Joseph Igoro Igoro

I hold a PhD in History and Diplomatic Studies (Social and Political History), MA in African History, all in the University of Port Harcourt. In my undergraduate days as a student, I won the best student award, in my three hundred level.
I have lectured history and diplomatic/international studies at the Federal University Otuoke, Nigeria, from August 2013 to August 2023, before my relocation to UK. I have supervised several undergraduate projects/long essays. I also have published articles on intergroup relations, historical origins and migrations, which are widely used in the department.
I have held many administrative positions and also represented the Department of History and International Studies in seminars. On behalf of the Department, I took students on an excursion to the Biafran War Museum, in Nigeria, where much locally made ammunitions of the Nigeria civil war are repositioned.
