Dr Faisal Shahzad

Hello! I'm Dr Faisal, a qualified medical doctor (MBBS) offering online GCSE and A-level Biology lessons.
I currently work in a hospital emergency department, so biology isn't just a school subject for me, it's what I use every day. When we study the heart, blood, the immune system, cells or genetics, I can show you how they affect real patients. This helps topics make sense, and things that make sense are much easier to remember in an exam.
How my lessons work:
First lesson: I'll find out what you already know, which exam board you're with (AQA, OCR, Edexcel or Cambridge) and which topics you find hardest.
Clear explanations: I break difficult topics into small steps, using diagrams and everyday examples.
Exam practice: we work through past paper questions and mark schemes, so you learn exactly what examiners are looking for.
Exam technique: how to answer longer 6-mark questions, use the correct key words and avoid losing easy marks.
Quick recaps: short questions at the start of each lesson to check you remember what we covered.
Lessons take place online on Zoom or Google Meet, so you can learn from home. I'm based in Pakistan and teach in the UK afternoon and evening.
I'm patient and friendly, and I want you to feel comfortable asking any question, no matter how basic it seems. I also speak Urdu, if your family prefers.
