My music and songwriting lessons are structured yet flexible, blending clear guidance with a creative, improvisational approach. I typically start with a focus area, such as melody writing, chord progressions, lyrics, or song structure.
Then move into hands-on creation where we experiment and build ideas together.
I encourage a lot of improvisation, using it as a tool to unlock creativity, develop confidence, and help students find their own unique sound.
Lessons are highly interactive and collaborative, often shaped in the moment based on the student’s ideas and influences, so no two sessions feel the same.
Alongside creativity, I also cover essential techniques and, where relevant, industry or recording insights to support well-rounded development.
With experience teaching a range of ages and abilities, I aim to create a relaxed, supportive space where students feel inspired to express themselves and grow as musicians and songwriters.
