With nearly 20 years of teaching experience across EYFS, KS1, KS2, and secondary education, I know that confidence is often the key that unlocks progress. My lessons are designed to help children feel successful, capable, and motivated from the very start.
I build strong relationships with my pupils and create a calm, supportive environment where mistakes are seen as part of learning rather than something to fear. Children learn best when they feel safe, valued, and understood.
Every lesson follows a simple structure: revisit prior learning, teach new concepts in clear, manageable steps, practise together, then apply learning independently. I use questioning, discussion, retrieval practice, and real-world examples to deepen understanding and help knowledge stick.
Rather than relying on worksheets alone, I adapt lessons to each child's needs, interests, and learning style. This keeps engagement high and helps pupils develop genuine understanding rather than simply memorising answers.
As an experienced classroom teacher, accredited mindset coach, and Mental Health First Aider, I understand that learning is about more than academic success. I help children develop resilience, self-belief, and a growth mindset alongside subject knowledge.
Parents often tell me their children enjoy learning more, feel less anxious, and become more willing to tackle challenges after working with me.
My goal is simple: to help every child make excellent progress while building the confidence and independence they need to succeed both in school and beyond.
