The purpose of the Spanish course is for students to future speakers advance in knowledge of the language and its use, recognize the characteristics of the language teaching approach that it fosters the development of abilities to read different types of texts and to express oneself adequately in oral and written form for different purposes and in diverse situations in which it is required to make use of the formal and informal registers of language. In this way, at the end of the course, students will have a frame of reference to understand and face the pedagogical challenges of teaching Spanish in any setting.
