The lessons are programmed to include the understanding of the key terms and theories whilst teaching the parts that are most important to exams. We will be using different techniques to help remember certain aspects of the topics, could be as creative as possible depending on the student’s preferred way of learning whilst also exposing them to other studying techniques. We will then work towards understanding the mark scheme of any future coursework and exams as knowing how to apply the information is most important. There will be PowerPoints, videos, diagrams, illustrations, interactive activities, quizzes followed by giving small assessments to complete in the session to have a feel of what a real exam could be. Through my academic experience I understood that studying is not always easy and sometimes we give up because we do not have the right resources to help us feel confident to perform to our potential, which is why my sessions are not only to build academic confidence but also as a whole. I acknowledge that external factors can also take a toll on our focus and motivation where sometimes we need an extra push and support to help us keep going, to make us believe in ourselves a little bit more. Everyone has their own way of learning, some are aware of it whilst some are not, I welcome all students at all learning levels, I am here to help you and guide you through your academic journey as I know it can be quite difficult to navigate through alone.
