Dia Hossain

Hi! My name is Dia, and I am currently studying Neuroscience and Psychology at the King's College London. Biology has always been one of my strongest and favourite subjects, and I am passionate about helping students build both their understanding and confidence in the subject.

I know that A-Level Biology can feel overwhelming at times. There is a huge amount of content to learn, many detailed processes to understand, and exam questions often require students to apply their knowledge in ways that are very different from simply memorising facts. Having successfully gone through A-Levels myself and now studying biological sciences at university level, I understand the challenges students face and can help them develop the skills needed to succeed.

My lessons are highly personalised and designed around each student's individual needs. Before we begin, I like to identify a student's strengths, weaknesses, learning style, and academic goals. Whether you are aiming to pass, improve your predicted grades, or achieve an A or A*, I will create lessons that are tailored specifically to help you reach those goals.

A typical lesson may include:
- Reviewing previous content to strengthen long-term retention.
- Breaking down difficult biological concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations.
- Using diagrams, examples, and real-world applications to make topics more engaging.
- Working through exam-style questions together.
- Teaching students how examiners award marks and what they are looking for in answers.
- Practising data interpretation, experimental design, and evaluation questions.
- Developing effective revision strategies that can be used independently outside of lessons.
