My lessons are interactive, supportive, and always tailored to your needs. I begin by finding out what you already know and where you feel less confident, so we can set clear, achievable goals together. Each session builds step by step: I explain concepts in clear, accessible language, use real-world examples to make biology memorable, and bring in practice questions to check your understanding. I encourage you to ask questions at any point, as I believe learning works best when it feels like a dialogue rather than a lecture.

Depending on your aims, lessons can focus on exam preparation, strengthening classwork, or exploring advanced topics in greater depth. If you’re preparing for exams, we might work through past papers, review tricky topics, and develop effective revision strategies. If you want to build general confidence, we can slow down and break topics into manageable steps, making sure the foundations are secure before moving forward. At each stage, we can go into as much depth as is required, or delve deeper depending on your interests!

I use a variety of methods like diagrams, visual aids, discussion, and problem-solving, so that lessons match your learning style. With eight years of experience teaching biology at different levels and in different settings, I know that flexibility and patience are key to helping students succeed. The dynamic of my lessons is friendly and collaborative. My goal is that you leave each session with a stronger grasp of biology and more confidence in your ability to learn. I love biology as the science that helps us understand life, so above all, I want it to be a subject that feels approachable, rewarding, and even enjoyable.
