I’m a bilingual French and English teacher with over 20 years’ teaching experience, offering "French and English tuition for adults and teenagers", both in person in Winchester and online.

FRENCH CONVERSATION CLASSES

My small-group French classes in Winchester are designed for adults who want to use their French, not simply work through a textbook.

Classes combine conversation with grammar, vocabulary, listening and cultural topics, with plenty of opportunity to speak. We discuss a wide range of subjects, from everyday life and current affairs to French culture, travel, food, history and society.

* Small groups of 2–6 students
* Levels from beginner to advanced
* Pay-as-you-go – no need to commit to a term or a long course - complete flexibility
* Mostly daytime classes, with one evening group
* Friendly, relaxed setting in Winchester
* Varied material adapted to the level and interests of each group

The aim is to help you become more confident and spontaneous in French, while continuing to improve your accuracy and expand your vocabulary.

PRIVATE FRENCH & ENGLISH TUITION

I also offer one-to-one French and English lessons, either in person in Winchester or online.

Lessons are entirely tailored to the individual. Depending on your needs, we can work on conversation and confidence, grammar and vocabulary, pronunciation, professional or business language, exam and interview preparation, presentations and meetings, or simply getting a language back into shape after years of not using it.

I don’t follow one fixed course or textbook. I use a wide range of authentic and teaching materials and adapt each lesson to the learner’s level, interests and objectives.

For professional learners, I also offer Business English and French, with lessons built around the situations you actually encounter at work.

ABOUT ME

I am French, British and Canadian, with a bilingual French-English background. I have spent most of my life in English-speaking countries, including the UK, the USA and Singapore, and have been based in Winchester since 2018.

This dual linguistic and cultural background gives me a strong understanding of how both languages work and of the challenges French and English speakers encounter when learning the other language.

I have been teaching languages for over 20 years and working as a freelance teacher, translator and interpreter for more than 16 years. I work with private learners as well as companies, from general conversation through to professional and corporate language coaching.

I teach teenagers and adults only.
