My lessons are relaxed and conversational, there's no pressure or judgment if something doesn't make sense immediately. We'll start by figuring out exactly what you're struggling with, then work through it together at a pace that suits you best.
You won't find me just talking at you for an hour. We'll work through problems side by side, and I'll ask questions to help you think through solutions rather than just giving you answers. This approach helps things actually stick and builds your confidence for tackling questions independently in exams. If you're stuck, I'll explain it differently until it clicks: I've learned over five years that there's always another way to explain something.
For GCSE and A-Level students, I focus heavily on exam technique alongside understanding the content. I know the mark schemes inside out and can show you exactly what examiners want to see. We'll practice past papers, spot patterns in questions, and develop strategies for maximizing your marks.
For younger students, lessons are more interactive and example-based. I make Maths and English feel less intimidating by relating concepts to things you actually care about, and we'll mix up activities to keep things engaging.
I've tutored students from primary level right through to A-Level over the past five years, working privately and at Kumon, so I'm comfortable adapting to different learning styles and ages.
