I have a total of 6 years of teaching experience, 4 years of personal tutoring, and about 2 years of classroom teaching experience. My lessons are always student-centred. I start of with a quick starter activity, do a bit of explicit teaching, go through a few examples with the student and then let them work on an activity independently. Depending on the learner, I end with a quiz or some quick questions to check their understanding. My lessons are interactive. Even during my presentation, I always ask students questions about the topic based on things they might already know. I encourage students to think of their best guess and if they get it wrong, I'm there to help correct them and share the right or more appropriate answer. My students have characterised me as patient, responsive and reliable.
