What to Expect from My Lessons:
As a recent graduate in Early Childhood and Primary Education Studies, I design every tutoring session to be meaningful, engaging, and tailored to your child’s individual needs. Here's what you can expect:
Personalised Sessions: Before we begin, I carry out a short informal assessment or chat to get to know your child’s learning style, current abilities, and any specific areas they’d like to focus on. This helps me plan sessions that are both targeted and supportive, ensuring your child gets the most from each lesson.
Curriculum-Aligned Content: I base all lesson plans on the National Curriculum for primary education. Whether your child is working on phonics, spelling, times tables, or comprehension, the content is always age-appropriate and designed to support what they’ve already learned at school—or prepare them for what’s to come.
Interactive Format: I use a variety of digital tools and teaching strategies to keep lessons fun and engaging. This might include educational games, storytelling, visual aids, and real-world examples to help make abstract concepts more accessible. This format helps children stay focused, especially during the relaxed pace of the summer holidays.
Positive, Supportive Environment: I believe that children learn best when they feel safe and encouraged. I foster a calm, friendly atmosphere where they feel confident to take risks, ask questions, and enjoy learning.
Progress Tracking: After each session, I provide informal feedback and suggestions, so you can see your child’s progress and celebrate their achievements together.
Summer tutoring is a great way to prevent learning loss and build confidence ahead of the new school year—and I’d love to support your child on that journey!
