Hello! I am currently a medical student at KCL and recent biomedical science graduate with an aspiration to work with and help young children! In particular, my subjects of expertise are Biology, Chemistry, Maths and English, which I enjoy teaching and breaking down into understandable terms for everyone at different stages of education. I believe it is vital to relay information in simpler and key formats where it can be retained long-term, as well as boost each student’s confidence in analysing questions and solving problems. I enjoy introducing various techniques in order to accommodate every student, this may involve learning through games and interactive content.
I have around 1 year's experience working with children in hospital wards and A&E, as well as 3 years teaching and mentoring young students. During this period it was important to have friendly and open approach to each individual.
I teach using PowerPoints and questions. I believe using methods such as active recall and answering questions are vital to learning. Each topic I teach is paired with exam style questions and questions linking the topic to other areas, so student can brainstorm and understand better. Questions are given to the student after each session so practice can be completed during the week.
I follow the UK national curriculum. For GCSE students I teach AQA, Edexcel, OCR and more.
I am very energetic and love spending time with family and friends.
Finally, my interests include; watching movies, shopping, playing violin, learning mandarin and exploring restaurants across different cities.
I am looking forward to teaching and witnessing growth in my students' academic performance!
