My sessions are relaxed, supportive and very much focused on the individual student. I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space where students feel comfortable talking openly about what they’re finding difficult, whether that’s academic pressure, motivation, confidence, or feeling overwhelmed.
Sessions take place online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams, making them easy to access from home in a familiar and comfortable setting. Sessions are usually structured but flexible. We’ll start by checking in and talking about how things have been going since our last session. From there, we’ll focus on one or two key areas that feel most important to the student at that time.
This might include building confidence, managing stress, improving focus, creating better routines, or breaking big tasks down into manageable steps. I use simple, practical approaches rather than theory-heavy techniques. Together, we’ll look at what’s working, what isn’t, and what small changes could make a real difference.
I adapt each session to suit the student’s age, personality and needs. Some students benefit from clear structure and planning, while others need more encouragement, reassurance and space to talk things through. There’s no pressure and no judgement — progress is always at the student’s pace.
My aim is that students leave each session feeling heard, supported and clearer about what they can do next. Over time, the focus is on helping them build confidence, resilience and skills they can use not just in their studies, but in everyday life as well.
