Daphnie Yin

Hi, I’m Daphnie. I prefer to tutor GCSE Maths, English, Sciences, Business, Geography and Religious Studies. I am also able to provide other lessons such as A-level Biology, but feel free to discuss it with me. My lessons are designed to be supportive, clear, and tailored to exactly what you need to improve.

My Experience:
· 1 year tutoring Year 5-6 Maths, helping younger students build strong foundational skills.
· 1 year tutoring Year 11 Biology, guiding students through GCSE content and exam technique.
· 2 years as a Science Mentor at my grammar school, supporting Year 11s with clear, personalised explanations.

Lesson Format:
Each session is structured but flexible. We’ll start by checking in on your current confidence and identifying any problem areas. From there, we’ll break down tricky topics into manageable steps, using plenty of examples and practice questions. I always end with a quick recap and set clear goals for what we’ll tackle next, so you never feel lost.

My Style:
I’m patient and approachable. As a mentor, I learned that listening carefully is just as important as explaining well. I adapt my teaching to your learning style—whether that means using diagrams for visual learners, real-world examples for Psychology, or step-by-step logic for Maths and Science. My goal is to build your confidence so you can tackle exam questions independently.

I have recently completed my A-Levels and will be studying Psychology at the University of Warwick. I understand the pressure of exams and know exactly what it takes to succeed at school. I’m here to help you get there too!
