Hi. My lessons are highly focused on what you want to learn, and improving the level of spoken and written English you have. Therefore no two lessons are exactly alike. Whether we are watching videos, reading articles to generate conversation or basing our lesson around certain groups of words for vocabulary or basing our work around a coursebook to strengthen your skills with grammar.

Typically I have a brief meeting with you before the teaching proper begins to establish what your reasons are taking English lessons, what level you are currently at. During this meeting I will try to find some types of subject matter that interest you, so that I can tailor the lessons for you specifically. Obviously this first meeting also allows us to start to get to know each other, as we will continue to do over the course of the lessons.

My principle aim is to get people talking. One of the key goals is to try to get people communicating by any means and continuously improving upon that rather than have people be silent until they fell certain they can say a phrase flawlessly. My philosophy is while you are with me, try it out! I am not here to judge you, I am here to help you. It s far better to try to communicate something and risk making a mistake, than to say nothing at all.

As they say in sports, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, so if you try with me to get the message across, we can work on better ways of saying it if we need to.
