The dynamics of any lesson depends upon the connection between the tutor and his/her student/s. I consider that it is the teacher that must adjust to his/her students', not the students' having to adjust to the teachers' methodology. I haven't failed anyone yet, nor do I intend to.
My experience: seven years of being taught by boring teachers, five years of teaching outrageously inspiring English as a first language in England, 12 years of teaching fun and didactic English as a second language in Austria, Russia, Italy, France, Czech Republic, Myanmar and the UK (I've visited over 60 more. My experience of understanding different cultures has allowed me to integrate myself with the people (not how the British empire did things) :)
For a bonus statistic: I possess a 98.6% pass rate for my students in Cambridge international exams (that's having taught over 2,000 students at A1 to C2 levels).
Trust in me and I'll show you how you can trust in yourself :)
