My lessons are designed to be structured, engaging, and fully tailored to each student’s needs and goals. I focus primarily on conversation and active use of the language, helping students build confidence and fluency in a natural and practical way. Each session is adapted depending on the student’s level, whether they are a beginner looking to build foundations or an advanced learner aiming to refine accuracy, expand vocabulary, or improve exam performance.
A typical lesson combines speaking practice with targeted grammar and vocabulary work, always taught in context rather than in isolation. I use real-life scenarios, guided discussion, and interactive exercises to encourage students to think directly in the target language rather than translate from their first language. Where helpful, I draw comparisons with English or other languages I speak to clarify difficult structures and make learning more intuitive.
I also place strong emphasis on consistency and progression. New material is reinforced through varied practice, including conversation prompts, short writing tasks, and repetition in different contexts to ensure long-term retention. Lessons are dynamic and flexible, allowing space to focus on areas the student finds most challenging while still maintaining a clear structure and sense of progress.
Alongside my teaching approach, I bring experience using Spanish in academic and professional settings as part of my dual degree in English and Spanish law. This has strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and adapt communication to different levels of understanding.
