From help with exams to the comprehension of material - or simply the exploration of literary horizons, my sessions will aim to enrich the student with an understanding and an appreciation for English. Lessons will be largely tailored to the student's needs. These will be communicated through self-identifying areas for improvement - the first step is always to acknowledge the foundations that are to be built on. From said point, progress will be encouraged through every lesson, which will be conducted online using Google Meet, featuring presentations of the learning material.
Sessions are available on any weekday evening, as well as on Sundays. Depending on the frequency of lessons, students may be set flexible homework for the benefit of their enrichment. Such will indicate their progress and feedback will provide them with insight.
Interraction is strongly encouraged. Lessons will be structured as a deepening conversation with the student, in which they will learn and think freely about the applications of facts, methods and devices for language analysis and writing - ergo the habit of taking notes is suggested.
If students require help with specific exams (A-level English Literature / GCSE English Literature mainly - or GCSE English Language) - lessons will also provide an understanding of marking schemes for AQA and Edexcel exam boards, as well as the opportunity to practice and analyse exam questions. If any questions arise between sessions, my inbox is open to any suggestions on the topics the student wants to cover. Feedback is also much welcome.
