I have experience teaching new learners of English, and can provide excercises covering phonetics and grammar. These lessons would be structured around a specific topic. We would cover vocabulary and basic grammatical structures, building up to being able to talk and write basic sentences about the topic. I encourage students to provide topics that they're interested in or that are relevant to them, but I can also provide them if needed.
If you already have a solid grasp of the language and are looking to improve, we can dive into litterature and culture. I believe the best way to learn is through practice, especially talking and reading about topics that interest you. I can also recommend books, TV shows and podcasts to listen to that will help you improve further! These lessons would be focussed mainly on speaking as naturally as possible, acquiring more specific vocabulary, figures of speech and expressions, as well as more complex grammatical structures. If you are wanting to improve your written english, there are several excercises I can recommend based on your learning style, from journaling to short essays. I would suggest doing these in your own time then going over the work together and focussing on areas to improve on. While my focus is on British English, we can also cover US English and the differences btween the two.
For each student, the aim would be to assess your level, learning style and what you want to achieve by the end of the lessons in order to tailor a curriculum that would work best for you!
