Claudia Biney

I am a qualified Primary Teacher with over four years of teaching and tutoring experience across KS1 and KS2. I have taught in both independent and state school settings in London and have experience supporting children with a wide range of learning needs, abilities and confidence levels. Alongside classroom teaching, I have also provided one-to-one tutoring both online and in person, helping pupils develop academically while building their self-esteem and enjoyment of learning.

My lessons are carefully tailored to each child’s individual needs and learning style. I understand that every pupil learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to ensure lessons feel engaging, supportive and accessible. Whether your child needs support with Maths, English, reading comprehension, SATs preparation, homework help or general confidence in the classroom, I aim to create a calm and encouraging environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.

I use a structured but flexible teaching approach, often incorporating interactive activities, visual models, reasoning questions and step-by-step guidance to help children fully understand concepts rather than simply memorising answers. As a classroom teacher, I am very familiar with the UK primary curriculum and current teaching methods, including mastery approaches used within schools.

My goal is not only to improve academic performance, but also to help children become more independent and confident learners. I believe positive relationships are key to progress, and I work hard to ensure my lessons feel motivating, patient and enjoyable. I always aim to celebrate progress, no matter how small, and help each child reach their full potential at their own pace.
