My lessons are structured, engaging, and adapted to suit each student’s individual needs and learning pace. I usually begin with a short recap of previous concepts to ensure continuity and reinforce understanding. Then, I introduce new topics in a clear, step-by-step manner, breaking down complex ideas into smaller, manageable parts so students can follow easily.
I focus on making mathematics relatable by using real-life examples and practical applications. This helps students see the relevance of what they are learning and reduces fear or anxiety around the subject. Each lesson includes explanation, guided practice, and independent problem-solving, allowing students to gradually build confidence.
I strongly encourage participation and questions, creating a comfortable environment where students feel free to express doubts without hesitation. I regularly check understanding through quick exercises and feedback, which helps me adjust my teaching approach as needed.
For remote lessons, I use interactive tools such as digital whiteboards and screen sharing to maintain clarity and engagement, ensuring the experience is as effective as face-to-face teaching.
With my experience of teaching students of different ability levels, I differentiate my lessons by providing extra support to those who need it and additional challenges to more advanced learners.
