I am a private Maths tutor who achieved A-Levels in Mathematics and Furthermathematics as my strongest A-Levels.

When I was in Sixth-form, I ran an engineering society of Year 12s as a Year 13. Other than expanding their knowledge on the field of engineering, I also taught them A-Levels Maths and Physics content. To challenge them, I would frequently teach them Year 13 Maths content and they were very quick to understand and build a foundation of the content.

This is because I teach in a conversational and collaborate way. A subject like Maths has many unique methods as well as ways of understanding. I will aim to best meet your way of understanding and exploit that so that you reach your highest potential. I do my best to make sure that the content I teach is not taught in an overwhelming and complicated format. It is about simplicity and depth in understanding and I will make sure to provide that in the best way possible for you.

The main aim of my teaching is to consolidate content. Meaning that I will teach a certain topic and ensure that you gain a strong foundation. Then within the next couple of days, we recap that content with questions. This is where the true learning comes as it exposes what parts of the content you truly understood. Hence, we can address any weaknesses whilst actually applying them to questions for increased understanding.

I am also very big on failing and struggling, this is what makes academia so vulnerable and can be very mentally challenging. However, to experience difficulty and constantly push yourself like this will inevitably make you a stronger student and is directly proportional to how much easier Maths will feel for you. I will always give you that space to feel "silly" or as though you do not understand anything. That is part of the journey! Remember that the struggle will only be temporary and once you conquer it, you've got it!
