My teaching approach is student-centred and tailored to each learner’s individual needs. I believe that every student learns differently, so I first identify their strengths, weaknesses, learning style, and areas that require the most attention. I then structure my lessons around these needs to ensure that learning is effective and engaging.
When teaching difficult concepts, I break them down into smaller, manageable steps and explain them using simple language and relatable examples. Rather than simply providing answers, I encourage students to think through problems themselves. This helps them develop confidence, critical thinking skills, and the ability to approach problems independently.
I also use questions, practice exercises, and past-paper questions during lessons to assess understanding and identify areas that need further explanation. I regularly review previously covered topics and monitor the student’s progress, adjusting my teaching methods whenever necessary.
I have practical tutoring experience as a current student and tutor at the University of Calabar, Calabar. I am an online tutor and also teach physically at Genius Forge Tutorial, where I tutor students in both Physics and Chemistry. These experiences have helped me develop the ability to explain complex topics clearly, work with different types of learners, and create a supportive learning environment.
My goal is to make every lesson engaging, supportive, and productive while helping students improve their academic performance and become more confident and independent learners.
