I like to start with looking at the student’s prior knowledge and what they already know so that I can build upon this. I then look at new vocabulary that we may come across. Next, I introduce the topic and model an example to show the student how to apply the new knowledge. Finally, I give practical examples to apply learning independently with support if needed. I like to keep learning fun and intentional, playing games to support with learning too.
