Hello! I'm a passionate and experienced Biology teacher dedicated to helping students not only understand the subject, but genuinely enjoy learning it. With a strong academic background in the sciences and hands-on classroom and laboratory experience, I bring both depth of knowledge and real-world context to every lesson.
My teaching style is student-centred and adaptable. I believe every learner is different, so I take the time to understand each student's strengths, challenges, and goals before tailoring my lessons accordingly. Whether a student needs help building foundational knowledge, preparing for exams, or exploring more advanced topics, I adjust my pace and approach to match their individual learning style.
I use a mix of clear explanations, visual aids, diagrams, and real-life examples to break down complex biological concepts into simple, memorable ideas. I also incorporate active learning techniques such as questioning, practice problems, and short recaps to reinforce understanding and help information stick long-term, rather than just being memorised for a test.
My lessons typically follow a structured but flexible format: a quick review of previous topics, introduction of new concepts with examples, guided practice, and a summary with key takeaways. I encourage questions throughout, as I believe curiosity is at the heart of learning science.
Beyond subject knowledge, I focus on building my students' confidence. Many learners struggle with Biology not because the content is too difficult, but because they haven't yet found an approach that works for them. My goal is to help each student discover that approach, so they feel capable, motivated, and genuinely interested in the subject.
