Teaching is all about harmony between student and teacher. I decided to follow an independent route with teaching so I can be as tailored and focused on the student as possible. That is what you will get from me.

It is also about creating a safe, judgement free and comfortable zone. Music is about sharing something at the end of the day, and my goal is to enable you to express yourself as best as you can wether that means practicing scales for 5 hours, or sight-reading pop songs.

The world of classical music where I come from is full of rules, which can be quite demoralising , so I have learned a lot of what not to do, while also being aware of what needs to be done in order to become fluent in the language of music!

My lessons follow a loose structure of creating a plan and goals, and then coming up with attainable steps to reach that goal. If its classical music you are into, then we can look at scales, etudes, small pieces to start to build up. If its more contemporary, there are loads of other exercises that can also be used depending on your level.

I come from a multi instrumentalist and cooperative playing background as well, so my approach to Piano is one of understanding music more than just what each finger does when. Having a more wholistic view, will help you learn how to practice independently faster so you can stop paying me money!!
