My lessons are designed to make History clear, structured and genuinely enjoyable, no matter your starting point. I know how overwhelming the subject can feel because of dense content, unfamiliar concepts and exam questions that seem impossible to decode. Every session is built around breaking things down into manageable, confidence building steps.

Each lesson follows a clear format. We begin with a quick check in to identify what you are finding challenging, then move into focused teaching using clear explanations, visual aids, timelines and worked examples. I tailor every session to your needs. If you learn best through discussion, we talk ideas through. If you prefer structure, we use guided notes and frameworks. If you need exam practice, we work through questions together and build strong, repeatable techniques.

A major part of my teaching is exam technique. Understanding the content is only half the battle. Knowing how to apply it is what gets top grades. I teach you how to plan answers, use evidence effectively, analyse sources and interpretations and write in a way that examiners reward. Many of my students improve by two grades or more because they finally understand what the exam is asking for.

With a doctorate in History and years of experience teaching GCSE, A level and university students, I bring both subject expertise and a supportive, patient approach. My lessons are interactive, encouraging and tailored to your goals, whether you are aiming for a pass or pushing for an A star.
