I have been teaching Maths since 2015, and my approach focuses on making Maths both enjoyable and understandable. Rather than just memorising formulas, I help students understand the logic behind them, so they can apply concepts confidently in any situation.
My lessons are structured yet flexible, tailored to each student’s needs. I typically cover key concepts step-by-step, followed by guided practice and exam-style questions to build confidence and accuracy. I believe Maths is not about natural intelligence, but about willingness to learn and consistent practice—every student has the potential to succeed with the right mindset and support.
To support progress outside lessons, I assign weekly homework through Google Classroom and conduct chapter-end tests to track improvement and reinforce learning. I also place strong emphasis on building a solid foundation, especially across Year 7 to Year 9 content, which makes up around 70% of GCSE Maths. Once this foundation is secure, achieving a Grade 7 becomes a very realistic goal.
Over the years, I’ve seen many of my students improve significantly—for example, moving from a Grade 5 to a Grade 7 after strengthening their fundamentals.
