I teach primary mathematics by creating a calm, supportive environment where students feel safe to try, make mistakes, and learn. I use a patient, step-by-step approach, breaking concepts into manageable parts so that every child can follow and build confidence gradually.

For each new concept, I begin with hands-on or visual examples (such as counters, drawings, or number lines) before moving to abstract numbers. I guide students through problems using simple, structured steps—for example: understand the question ? identify key information ? choose a strategy ? solve ? check. I also teach easy, memorable tricks (like number bonds, skip-counting patterns, or drawing models) so students feel empowered when tackling problem-solving questions.

Throughout lessons, I ask guiding questions rather than giving answers immediately, encouraging students to think aloud and discover patterns. I celebrate small progress and reinforce understanding with quick practice tasks, games, or real-life examples. My aim is to nurture confidence, curiosity, and a positive attitude towards math, ensuring all learners feel capable and supported.
