Charlotte Salkind

I love sharing my enthusiasm for literature and drama, and my particular strengths are helping students demystify set texts they might be struggling to understand; encouraging them to reach for more specificity, sophistication and nuance in their analysis; working on structuring essays properly; and encouraging them to really hone in on the detail of language- crucial for achieving the highest marks. As a tutor I am very friendly and approachable, but I also know how to keep a student focused. I always encourage students to pursue their particular areas of interest and develop these into a passion – for one student this might be contextual and historical background to a text, whereas for another it might be critical interpretations or broadening their wider reading.
I have a wealth of experience, with a 100% track record of helping my students to achieve the top grades, and I’ve now been tutoring for over a decade.
