Charlotte Routledge

I have worked with younger children in primary schools aged 8-11 in assisting with the production of a school play, whilst helping with games in a drama club. I also have experience babysitting. I am patient, keen and enthusiastic, whilst also receiving high grades in my English GCSEs and English 11+ papers. I received a grade 8 (A*) in English GCSE and have a calm way of explaining children through tasks in a fun, engaging way. Having younger cousins who I am close to, I have frequently helped them with school work in a way that helps them to understand how to approach tasks individually, without giving them the answer directly. I find this helps students to bring the tools they need to other work, and helps them build confidence in work they do in and outside of school. Having experienced teaching drama to primary school students, I have developed stratergies to keep them entertained and engaged, and focussed on the task at hand. I am excited at the prospect of helping younger students with school work, whilst aiding with their confidence in and out of the classroom. I am currently a student at university, studying Politics and International Relations, after doing Politics, English Literature and Drama at sixth form. Due to my time as a student, I would be looking for online sessions, after school or on weekends. I have a flexible timetable so would be able to have frequent weekly sessions, or one off sessions.
