My lessons are friendly, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs and goals. I begin by identifying any gaps in understanding through informal questioning or reviewing past work, and then I design sessions that build confidence and skills at the right pace. A typical lesson includes a quick recap or warm-up, followed by an explanation of key concepts using clear visuals, real-life examples, and interactive activities. We then work through scaffolded questions or exam-style tasks together, with regular checks for understanding.

I adapt my teaching style depending on how each student learns best whether that’s through discussion, diagrams, step-by-step practice, or active recall techniques like flashcards and quizzes. I also help students develop effective revision strategies and exam techniques. With experience teaching BGE Science and National 4, 5, and Higher Biology, I understand the Scottish curriculum well and know how to support students at every level. Above all, I aim to create a supportive and relaxed space where students feel comfortable asking questions and excited to learn.
