My lessons in art would comprise of application of materials which would be led both by example and participation. I would aim that a student have at least one piece of work completed by the end of each session. A lesson might also include discussions and panning for the development of a sketchbook or portfolio in relation to a theme if this applies. In history we would work on creating revision resources and developing active recall, a vital skill for not only performing well in exams but feeling relaxed and confident while doing so. There would be an additional focus on exam technique and source analysis which would be worked into question planning. The student then potentially answers the question after the session for it to be marked using a mark scheme alongside the student in the subsequent session. I aim to create a fairly relaxed environment in my sessions to being the best out of every student, that being said each session would remain focussed on the task at hand and the attention of a student to the task is vital and is something I would strongly encourage. I have received art tuition at points in my education and assist fellow students in the classroom in learning printing techniques and painting application, my history experience is mainly based in exam success and classroom participation throughout my schooling.
