My lessons are structured, personalised and calm, with a clear focus on helping pupils understand how to approach 11+ questions, not just practise them.

Lesson Format
• 1:1 live online sessions, usually 60 minutes
• Each lesson follows a clear structure:
1. Short review of previous learning
2. Explicit teaching of a key 11+ skill or question type
3. Guided practice with step-by-step modelling
4. Independent attempt under timed conditions
5. Feedback, reflection and next steps

Lesson Content
Lessons cover all core 11+ areas:
• Verbal Reasoning (including vocabulary building and strategy)
• Non-Verbal & Spatial Reasoning
• Maths (problem-solving, arithmetic and reasoning)
• English (comprehension, writing skills and SPaG)

I place strong emphasis on:
• Exam technique and time management
• Understanding mark schemes
• Common pitfalls and how to avoid them
• Building confidence and resilience

Teaching Style & Dynamics
• Calm, encouraging and high-expectation
• Clear explanations, no rushing or pressure
• Pupils are supported to explain their thinking, not guess
• Lessons are interactive, with regular check-ins for understanding

Experience
I am a qualified UK primary teacher with extensive experience teaching across KS1 and KS2, including Year 6 and exam preparation. I have supported pupils of varying abilities, including those needing confidence-building as well as those aiming for highly selective schools. I have an excellent success rate and will help your child to achieve both academically and in an interview.

My approach is informed by classroom teaching, assessment frameworks and a deep understanding of what examiners are looking for for both SATS, 4+, 8+ and 11+. I hope to work with you and your family in the near future.
