My lessons will be calm, supportive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I understand that Psychology, Health and Social Care, and Health and Wellbeing can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when students are trying to understand theories, apply them to real-life examples, or structure assignments clearly. My aim is to make learning feel manageable, encouraging and confidence-building.

In my lessons, I usually begin by finding out what the student already understands and what they feel less confident about. From there, I break topics down into clear sections, using simple explanations, examples, discussion and short activities where helpful. I can support students with understanding key theories, planning essays or assignments, improving written work, revising for assessments, and linking academic content to real-world practice.

I have a strong background in Health and Social Care, Social Work and Psychology. I hold a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care, have completed a Social Work degree, and I am currently studying a Master’s in Psychology. My placement and academic experience have helped me develop strong knowledge of communication, psychology, safeguarding, mental health, person-centred care, equality and diversity, and supporting people with different needs.

I would describe my teaching style as patient, friendly and non-judgemental. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, even if they are unsure. My lessons are aimed at learners studying Psychology, Health and Social Care, or Health and Wellbeing at school, college, Access course or early university level.
