Charis Bortey

Hi! I’m Charis, a dedicated tutor based in Banstead currently studying A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, and Core Maths. I achieved strong GCSE results, including Grade 8 in Maths and Grade 9 in English, and I’m passionate about helping younger students build confidence in their learning.

I offer personalised support in primary-level maths, English, and science, with lessons tailored to each child’s pace and goals. My approach is friendly, encouraging, and focused on making learning enjoyable and effective.

I’ve also volunteered for three years with the Girls’ Brigade, where I helped lead activities, support younger members, and develop communication and mentoring skills. This experience has strengthened my ability to connect with children and create a positive, supportive learning environment.
