As a former GCSE and IB student I understand the struggle of keeping in top of language exam preparation with oral, listening and written components that pose a major challenge. Using my love for the language I devised notes and small hacks that helped me top the class and also he’ll my fellow students back in school.

My lesson plans are both methodological and fun, I aim to create a safe environment for learning and relate to the students as I was there not so long ago. I am fairly sure that with my notes and study strategies I can not only help students excel at Spanish examinations, but also make them genuinely adore the language itself.

Specific strategies I can intend to use are translation of famous literature and strict no “Google Translate” policies, handwritten notes (my own personal class notes) and constant practice of speaking and listening to reinforce conversational and academic skills. I also plan to infuse pop culture and media into my classes as my teacher had done before, which is a guaranteed attention keeper.

I firmly believe in understanding and interest being far more effective that detached memorisation, which are principles that my lesson plans will be built around.

I hope interested students take a leap of faith and get inspired. I began learning Spanish 6 years ago from native speakers including members of my family and it has stuck with me since. Language exams are nothing to fear and my lessons will ensure a stress-free learning experience.
