Teaching art, inspiring creativity and motivating others have always been my vocation. Having enjoyed a successful teaching career at various UK primary and secondary schools, I am eager to continue my teaching through private tuition following a break due to the arrival of my own two daughters.

I am a Fine Art graduate specialising in painting and sculpture. Drawing is at the heart of my teaching, and through developing confidence in drawing, my pupils go on to be versatile in all types of media.

My first priority as a a teacher is to engage pupils with the subject, offer lessons which are fun and challenging, and ensure that they produce the highest standard of work of which they are capable. I am passionate about my subject and I have an infectious enthusiasm. I am able to bring out the best in all pupils through my ability to devise projects which enable the least able pupils to achieve simple but effective work, and offer the opportunity for the most able to work in more depth.

I take the time to clearly understand students' hopes and goals. Always keen to develop my own knowledge, I enjoy devising personalised projects which suit the interests and needs of my pupils. I strive to make my art lessons a high point in the week to which pupils look forward to. I can also organise trips to galleries and enter pupil artwork into local and national competitions.

I take pride in a positive attitude and enjoy good working relationships with my pupils. I am warm, patient and kind and I would love the opportunity to bring out your artistic skills.
