Catherine Antony

Hi, my name is Catherine and I offer friendly and supportive Maths tutoring for secondary school students. As a college student myself, I understand the challenges many pupils face with Maths and I know how important it is to build confidence as well as knowledge. I am currently completing A levels in Further Maths, Chemistry and Economics, and have already achieved an A in A level Maths, all of which gives me a strong background in problem solving and logical thinking.

I have already taught six students in Years 9 and 10 for a year which gave me valuable experience in adapting lessons to different learning styles and abilities. I enjoyed helping them build confidence and improve their results over time.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s ability. I begin by identifying strengths and areas for improvement then create a clear plan that builds understanding step by step. I explain concepts in simple logical terms and use examples to make sure students understand the “why” as well as the “how.”

In my sessions I focus on breaking down difficult topics, practising exam-style questions and improving problem-solving skills. I encourage students to ask questions and make sure they feel comfortable making mistakes because that is one of the best ways to learn.

Whether you want to catch up, prepare for exams or push for higher grades I will support you throughout. My aim is not only to help you succeed in Maths now but also to give you the skills and confidence to approach new challenges in the future.
