Hello! I'm Caterina, a CELTA-qualified language teacher and native Italian speaker with over 15 years of experience teaching English, Italian and Spanish to adults, teenagers and children, both online and in person.

My lessons are tailored to your individual goals, whether you're preparing for exams, travelling, relocating abroad, improving your career prospects or simply learning a language for pleasure. I believe the best learning happens in a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes and enjoy the process.

Before becoming a full-time language tutor, I spent more than 20 years working with the British Embassy, British High Commission, Australian High Commission and UK universities. This international career gave me the opportunity to work with people from many different cultures and strengthened my communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. I bring that same professionalism, patience and encouragement to every lesson.

I have experience teaching learners of all abilities, including SEN students, and I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual's pace and learning preferences. Every lesson is practical, engaging and designed to build confidence as well as language skills.

I understand that learning a new language can sometimes feel challenging, so I focus on making each lesson enjoyable, interactive and rewarding. I use a variety of teaching methods and authentic materials to keep lessons interesting and relevant, helping students develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in a natural and effective way.

I regularly monitor progress and provide constructive feedback so you can see how far you've come and identify the next steps in your learning journey.

My international background has given me a deep appreciation of different cultures and communication styles, which enables me to connect easily with students from around the world. I believe that learning a language is not only about mastering grammar and vocabulary but also about gaining the confidence to communicate effectively in real-life situations.
