About me

I treat each of my students as the wonderful individuals that you are, and will tailor my teaching especially for you. I'll do this by using what I've learnt during my years as a teacher, and we'll use your interests and talents to build up an arsenal of strengths. Everyone has their own learning style and special abilities, and I can't wait to discover what yours are!

We can also do activities...

We can also do activities of logic and reasoning to grow your skillset, and lots of live educational games too (because I think that learning is best embedded when having fun). I'll pop in a mini fluency drive at the start of each session to practise and retain your knowledge.

Part of my job is teaching children who have been excluded from school, and I have endless patience for this. I believe that lots of praise, motivation and reward gets the best out of my tutees. I don't take insults personally or hold a grudge: every tute is a fresh tute. I think that mutual respect between tutor and student provides the best basis for a great ongoing working partnership.

Together we will focus on whatever you need, whether it's a particular subject, help with homework or emotional support. We can schedule at least one weekly mental health check for a chat, to find out what we can do to help you manage your own feelings and reactions. Together we'll build up your resilience - that you can wear like a coat of armour - to deal with the exciting things that lie ahead in your life!
