About me

As a neurodivergent person, I'm well aware of all the intricacies that come with the way individual people learn; as a result, I try to personalise every lesson to the individual, be it by wording things differently, making sure there are written versions of instructions easily available, or communicating via text chat in video calls.

As a neurodivergent person, I'm well aware of all the intricacies that come with the way individual people learn; as a result, I try to personalise every lesson to the individual, be it by wording things differently, making sure there are written versions of instructions easily available, or communicating via text chat in video calls.
These intricacies can make everyday learning a lot harder, but also come with a lot of benefits that can be uncovered; I try to isolate these benefits and utilise them in order to have the best impact on learning and education as possible.
As well as instilling good technique and knowledge, I aim to develop a passion for learning and the subjects within lessons; it has been proven time and time again that people do better when they like the subject or find it interesting; learning strings of information and regurgitating them will only work for a short period of time.
I work online on evenings and weekends, using Zoom for lessons. This enables me to adapt timings and diminishes any need for travel. Lessons can be 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the individual needs of the student and the help they need or want. These lessons will not be formulaic; it is so much more important to ensure the lesson is one that is tailored to the student and their needs at that moment.
Ultimately, I create a personalised environment designed to inspire passion in students by treating them as what they are: individual people.
