I am a qualified and experienced Science teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience in secondary schools. I offer online Science tuition for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, including GCSE Biology, Chemistry and general Science.
My lessons are carefully planned to meet each student's individual learning needs, ability and pace. I begin by identifying what the student already understands and where additional support is needed.

I explain scientific concepts clearly, using everyday examples, diagrams, questioning and interactive activities to make difficult topics easier to understand. I encourage students to ask questions, participate actively and develop confidence in their abilities.
My lessons include explanations, guided practice, opportunities to check understanding and constructive feedback. For GCSE students, I also focus on examination techniques, past-paper questions and understanding how to interpret and answer questions effectively.
Having taught students of different abilities and learning needs throughout my career, I understand the importance of patience, encouragement and adapting teaching methods to suit each individual.

My aim is to create a friendly, supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, develop a genuine interest in Science and achieve their academic potential with confidence.I also believe that building a positive relationship with each student is essential for successful learning. I encourage independent thinking, problem solving and curiosity about the world around us. Through regular assessment and constructive feedback, I help students recognise their progress, overcome difficulties and develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to succeed in Science and beyond.
