Carolina Lara Trevino

As a native Spanish speaker, I am passionate about helping learners build confidence in Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and conversation while also developing cultural understanding.

I have practical teaching and mentoring experience through several settings. In Canada, I was an active member of the Spanish Club at BC Hydro, where I supported colleagues in improving their conversational Spanish. In Sheffield, I regularly participate in language exchange groups, helping learners of different levels practice Spanish in an engaging and supportive way. Additionally, I am certified as a course tutor in Mexico by my previous company, which strengthened my ability to structure lessons and adapt to different learning needs.

Alongside this, I have volunteered in children’s homes, where I supported children with homework and general learning, developing patience, clarity, and encouragement as a tutor. I am friendly, flexible, and happy to teach online or face-to-face.
