Carlos Javier Díaz

Hello! My name is Carlos, and I am a qualified English teacher with a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Originally from Venezuela and currently based in Buenos Aires, I teach online lessons for adults and university students, from complete beginners to advanced learners.

My teaching experience includes private tuition, university teaching, and online education with the British Council and Plan Ceibal. I have also worked extensively with adults who need English for everyday communication and professional situations.

Your lessons will be tailored to your goals, current level, and interests. Whether you want to improve your conversation skills, understand spoken English more easily, strengthen your grammar, or communicate effectively at work, we will identify your priorities and build lessons around them.

I use Microsoft Teams and interactive teaching materials, including clear visual explanations, videos, listening activities, and realistic situations. A typical lesson starts with a brief review or conversation, followed by examples and guided practice. As you become more comfortable, we move towards activities where you can use English more independently.

Speaking is an important part of my lessons, but we also develop listening, reading, and writing according to your needs. For professional English, we can practise meetings, presentations, workplace conversations, and explaining your ideas clearly.

You will receive specific, constructive feedback on vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. My background as a professional voice-over artist also informs my attention to clear speech, rhythm, and intonation.

I speak both English and Spanish, so Spanish-speaking beginners can receive additional explanations when helpful. My aim is to create a patient, friendly environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and practise without feeling rushed.
