My online lessons are usually an hour in length but I can be adaptable. I have 25 years experience teaching Design and Technology in Secondary schools and three years as a private tutor. I mainly focus on supporting GCSE Design & Technology (Y10/11) and A level Product Design (Y12/13) students.

Since leaving mainstream teaching I have worked as a STEM tutor for a charity and I now promote sustainable travel in schools for South Gloucestershire Council. At the charity my main role was to develop and provide workshops including coding, engineering, electronics and sustainability for all ages. But one task I had was to teach a Year 10 student Design and Technology for a year as his school did not have a DT specialist. This made me realise that I could use my experience to tutor other students privately.

I normally use Google Meet and Classroom for lessons and sharing resources/uploading work. I also set up a WhatsApp group for communication with parent and the student.
