My lessons are student-centered, interactive, and tailored to each learner’s academic level, goals, and learning style. I strongly believe that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to pedagogy and learning. Understanding students’ backgrounds, strengths, and challenges is essential to creating engaging, stimulating, and effective learning experiences. I begin with an assessment to identify each student’s needs and develop a personalized learning plan accordingly.
I teach Fundamental Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Anatomy & Physiology, including IB/AP Biology and MCAT Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems preparation. I focus on building strong conceptual understanding through clear explanations, structured problem-solving, visual learning tools, and real-world scientific examples. Lessons may include guided review of course material, exam preparation, practice questions, study strategies, and active discussion to strengthen critical thinking and long-term retention.
With over 18 years of teaching and tutoring experience across secondary, college, and university levels in diverse international contexts—including Canada, Cyprus, France, Gabon, and Turkey—in both online and in-person settings, I emphasize clarity, accessibility, and active engagement through problem-based learning, progressive case studies, regular checks for understanding, and consistent connections between theory and real-world applications. I pay particular attention to students who lack confidence in science and strive to create a respectful, supportive, and motivating learning environment where students can build confidence, independence, and long-term academic success while discovering the excitement and relevance of science.
